Three months of Lydia

I gotta tell ya… living with a three month old isn’t all that different than living with a newborn. Mainly because we’ve had a solid sleeper/eater on our hands from the beginning. We’ve upgraded to the interactive model, though. Since we don’t have another pediatrician appointment until month four, this post will be stat-less. But I’d say she’s filling out nicely… Just enough to make her durable and fun to squish.

So what is there to talk about here. Skills. Mad skillz.

My baby will now:

  • Smile at anyyyyyone.
  • Squirm until she’s sideways in her bassinet and contorted just enough to make her parentals anxious.
  • Talk back to you. Not like a teenager can, but she’ll get there. For now this still consists of goos gahs and other phonations.
  • Eat shoulders. Her favorite not-food food.
  • Sit in her chair for approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds so mom can take some pictures and think nope still just a hair too early for this. You wish mom.  the hess station bumbo
  • Drool. Whenever wherever. Oh you’re holding me? To show my gratitude I will cover you in the liquid that comes out of my mouth faucet. the hess station three months of lydia
  • Be a flower girl / excellent bouquet replacement. She did a wonderful job of looking cute while mom did the hard work of walking in heels and a long dress down stairs and on cobblestones holding a baby. And the easy work of standing by my cousinsister on her wedding day and crying openly through the entirety of the ceremony. Easy. Peasy.  the hess station three months of lydia young flower girl
  • Dress up for Halloween. Twice. the hess station three months of lydia baby nurse costume halloween 2015Baby nurse and Lydie bug. Sooooo she was her mom and herself.

Other updates: She still doesn’t love the car. Or the stroller. Or anything that involves being stuck in her carrier for extended periods of time. She also despises hunger and her twice a day bout of hiccups.

And without further ado:

No pictures because my laptop decided to stop working and all of my photos are currently stuck on it. I am irrationally furious about it. Like as furious as a hungry Lydia.

I will update with them as soon as our technical difficulties are resolved. Promises promises.
