The not so little love bug is 6 months old! Rhetorical question of the day… How did that even happen?

Time flies when you’re having babies… and fun, obviously. 

The stats:  19lbs 6oz. and 27 inches

The percentiles: 92% and 95%

Tooth count: 0

Clothes size: 12 months

The skills:

Sitting up – Still supported but on her own if reaching for her piggies. It is all about the feet and sock pulling. She’s like a ball of rolypoly cute constantly reaching no matter what obstacles/toys may be in her way.  

Eating like a big girl – a very messy pig-like big girl. It’s more sucking on a spoon and blowing cereal in mom and dads faces than really eating, per se. But for only a few days of having anything other than milk she gets an A for effort.  

Rolling over, for reals – More from back to front than the other way. She loves to flop onto to her belly and then scream and not roll back. It makes for some fun days full of the game ‘Moooom, Help!’ More accurately ‘WaAhhaaaAaaah’

Bouncing – /adoring the exer-bouncer-saucer contraption of fun. It went up in place of the Christmas tree (RIP) and takes up about as much room. But the love bug enjoys her new bouncing home while mom does dishes and occasionally actually blogs.  

Being pushed around – We are so over the strolling car seat and love to straight chill in the big girl part and/or Gigi’s umbrella stroller. Mom’s not thrilled about this change though because the transfer in and out of said big girl riding equipment interrupts naps on the go in the worst way. Plus, she faces out to observe the world around her and that’s good for her development and sense of independence and all this business. But I miss her face while I’m shopping. 

Still drooling – Always drooling

And always always loving life.
