Weeks 16 & 17

Fruit/Veg/Edibles: Dill pickle and Tangy pomegranate. Adjectives provided by my handy dandy pregnancy app for your enjoyment.
Weight gain: 1.2lbs
Overall weight gain: -0.8lbs. We’re working on that. See below.
I can be found eating: Salads for the dressing, pickles & banana peppers, Belvita soft baked delights, McDonald’s sweet chili crispy chicken wraps, Reese’s sundaes, lemon zinger tea, and nutella on anything
Aversions: Mushrooms and waking up.
Movement/kicks/anything?: No. I’m waiting very impatiently.
Maternity style: My ill-fitting, non-pregs wardrobe – unbuttoned and expanded with belly bands. I moved on into some maternity jeans this week and it was a real game changer. I also rocked my first maternity shirt and it made me feel (and look) pregnant instead of chubby. Instant win.
How do I feel?: Tired. Thus far I’ve found the rumor about the ‘burst of energy’ experienced in the second trimester to be false false false. Otherwise I feel as good as you can feel when internally growing a living pomegranate.
Status of the bump: PRESENT. Teeeee tiny, but there and no longer misidentified as pizza, or the Reese’s sundaes noted above.

Some recent happies:
Job acquisition. Very excited to finally have a nursing job secured. And enough time to settle into it before the pomegranate makes his/her arrival!
Shopping for maternity clothes . Happy to take advantage of any and all excuses to reasonably spend money.
Driving. It’s way more fun with heated seats and bluetooth audio. My current (not for much longer) 2 hour commute is that much closer to tolerable.
